What does the ticket include?
The ticket includes your stay (tent/hut/cottage), food for the duration of the festival & access to all the workshops/performances.
If you chose to buy a travel pass, your pass will include transportation (from and to Bengaluru) in a in semi sleeper non-A/C festival bus.

What is the best way to reach the festival?
We strongly recommend that you purchase a travel pass. Transportation from/to Bengaluru can be organised by ŪRU festival for an additional fee of Rs. 2100.
What this includes:
- Pick up from Bengaluru on Wednesday, the 6th of Dec in semi sleeper non-A/C festival bus. (timing and location will be shared to the ticket holders) – If you buy a 4-day Festival Pass
- Pick up from Bengaluru on Thursday, the 7th of Dec in semi sleeper non-A/C festival bus. (timing and location will be shared to the ticket holders) – If you buy a 3-day Festival Pass
- Drop off at Bengaluru (reach on the night of Sunday, the 10th of December) - semi sleeper non-A/C festival bus
If you chose to travel on your own, we can guide you about the nearest station/airport and give you contact details of cab drivers etc. However, we won't be able to book this for you. If you chose to drive, please let us know prior so that we can organise safe parking for you.

Can you organise transportation from a city outside of Bengaluru?
No. Your travel pass includes pick up and drop off at Bengaluru only. If you are coming from another city, we encourage you to travel to Bengaluru first and get on the festival bus with the rest. We will not be able to arrange transportation outside of what is already allowed for in your travel pass.

What are the different accommodation options?
You have a few different options to choose from.
-Shared Tents (double sharing) - Sleeps 2 persons Max. If you are attending the festival with your partner or a friend, this option will be perfect for you. (shared toilets)
-Individual Tents - Sleeps 1 person Max. (shared toilets)
-Hut Stay - Sleeps 3 persons Max. Specially built for ŪRU Festival 2023 by skilled artisans from the nearby tribes of Periya. These huts are dispersed in the valley within the Oxyfarm property boundary. This is the perfect option for you if you are travelling in groups of 3. (shared toilets)
-Cottage Stay - Options Available: 9 persons max family cottage, 4 persons max cottages, 3 persons max cottages & 2 persons max rooms. This is the perfect option for you if you are travelling in big groups. -
I am coming by myself. Who will I share the tent/hut/cottage with?
Shared tents, huts, cottages will be randomly allocated based on a system that will correspond with your ticket number. Only way to ensure that you get to share with your friends is if you let us know by messaging us. If you wish to swap later to be closer to your friends or share with your friends, you can do so at your own will

Will there be toilets and bathrooms? What about hot water?
Yes. If you chose to stay in a cottage, they will have their own toilet/bathrooms. If you are camping or in the hut stay, there will be a total of 8 gender neutral toilets/bathrooms for you to use. Not all bathrooms have access to hot water. If you are particular about hot water, you can use the three bathrooms closer to the reception area

Will there be mobile coverage/Wi-Fi?
There is no Wi-Fi available at the property. There will be limited mobile coverage near the reception and kitchen area if you are with Jio. Airtel and Vodafone get no coverage. You can go to the reception area and use the landline if you need to make an urgent phone call or check on loved ones back home. We encourage a digital detox while at the festival.

Where do I charge my phone?
If you are camping, you will have access to limited charging docks at the reception area. Please bring your own power bank so that you don’t have to rely on these limited charging stations.

Can I bring alcohol to ŪRU Festival?
We are not licensed to sell alcohol at the festival. Please bring your own alcohol (& mixers) if you wish to drink. The nearest liquor store to the property is 32 kms away. We will not be able to arrange transportation to the liquor store. Please bring your own booze if you chose to drink. We encourage you to drink in moderation. The festival is held in a property that skirts along a forest reserve. Unruly behaviour after intoxication will not be tolerated. We all have to be respectful of the space.

Can I bring my own tent to pitch?
No, your ticket price includes a tent. The tents will be pitched prior to your arrival and kept ready.

Where can I find set times and the full lineup details?
Lineup information and set times will be available on the website which will be released in due time.

Can I go in and out of the festival site each night?
No. You are free to explore the surroundings during the day time. But the festival gates will be locked in the night as we have to be mindful of the neighbours.

Will there be locker facilities?
No, there are no lockers available. Please do not bring any valuables. ŪRU Festival or Oxyfarm will not take any responsibility of lost items.

Are debit/credit cards /Gpay accepted on site?
No. This is a cash only festival. Please bring sufficient cash with you. Your debit cards or phone banking will not work at the property.

Are food and beverages included with the pass?
Yes. Your ticket includes food and tea. Outside of the meals that your ticket includes, you have the option to buy food (limited menu) from the Chai Hut.

Can I edit or sell my ticket?
Tickets are strictly non-transferable and non-changeable. Anyone looking to edit their ticket, will be offered a refund, with a deduction of 10% convenience fee. Tickets are only refundable up to 14 days from purchase date.

I have bought a pass/package online, do I need a physical pass or a printed copy?
Please make sure you print out your email confirmation or have the ticket ready to be displayed and bring this with you to the site.

Is it a safe space for me?
ŪRU is all about providing a safe space for the queer community. It is a space that encourages and celebrates diversity. You'll be able to express yourself freely without fear of any judgements. It is a space for the queer community and allies. Not everyone at the festival will be queer. Not everyone at the festival will be straight. We all have a responsibility to be respectful of everyone’s gender identity, sexual orientations, ethnicities, religions, abilities, and socio-economic backgrounds. We have to understand and respect boundaries.
Any form of consent breach or discrimination will not be tolerated. Please notify the ŪRU team if anything happens.
