ŪRU

Your queer village

ŪRU 4.0  —  3 – 6 December 2026

Varanashi Organic Farms · Foothills of the Western Ghats · Karnataka

Welcome to ŪRU

ŪRU (Ooru), meaning ‘village’, is India’s first and only queer camping festival — a safe space in nature for queer folx and allies to gather, feel boundless joy, make connections and exchange ideas.

A conscious queer village where one can sing under the stars, dance, create, freely express and explore themselves.

Workshops · Performances · Wilderness

This isn’t a festival you attend — it’s a village you belong to. Mornings of movement and making, afternoons that drift between workshops and hammocks, nights of performances & dancing under the stars. Everything happens together.

The Venue

Varanashi Organic Farms

Adyanadka, Karnataka

Over 100 acres of absolute wilderness, with the feel of a tropical rainforest — this working organic farm becomes your home for three nights. Cozy dormitories, elegant mud cottages, a one-of-a-kind Tree House, a cottage on a private pool, and more — nine ways to stay, all under old trees, with farm-to-fire food and nights lit by stars and fireflies.
