Day 2 – Friday, 8th Dec 2023

06:00 – 06:30 – Wake up to Sitar

Wake up nice and early in the morning to the sounds of Sitar played by Iti.

 

06:30 – 08:30 – Morning Yoga and Tai Chi

Start your day 2 at ŪRU with an early morning group yoga session curated by Mel/Saumya and a Tai Chi session curated by Sarah.

(Bring your own yoga mat).

 

08:30 – 10:30 - Freshen up & breakfast

Freshen up & enjoy a refreshing South Indian vegetarian breakfast.

 

If you have purchased a 3-Day pass you’ll be arriving on Day 2 of the Festival.

07:30 – 08:30 - Arrive at Oxyfarm

Registration & Festival Induction.

 

08:30 – 09:30 - Tent / Hut / Cottage Allocation

Tents will already be pitched. You just need to make your tent your own space – decorate it if you want, however you want. Use this time to settle down in your tents/huts/cottage and familiarise yourself with your tent/hut/cottage partners.

 

09:30 – 10:30 - Freshen up & breakfast

Freshen up & enjoy a refreshing South Indian vegetarian breakfast.

 

All Participants:

 

10:30 – 12:30 – Morning Workshops

This is the time slot for morning workshops. A workshop registration link will be sent to all ticket buyers prior to your arrival at the festival. You’ll have a few different workshop options to choose from. 

 

12:30 – 02:30 – Lunch & siesta

Enjoy delicious South Indian meals (menu TBC) for lunch and chill.

 

02:30 – 04:30 – Afternoon Workshops

This is the time slot for afternoon workshops. A workshop registration link will be sent to all ticket buyers prior to your arrival at the festival. You’ll have a few different workshop options to choose from. 

 

04:30 – 05:30 – Evening Chai

Head to the chai hut to buy a snack/tea/coffee/fresh juice of the day. (Pay cash directly at the chai hut)

 

05:30 – 07:30 – Open mic session

Open mic sessions - 15-minute time slots (pre-registration mandatory).

This will be the time for you to come on stage and tell us a story. We encourage stories that dwell on topics such as; sexuality, gender identity, coming out, hometown tales, mental health, and body image. Make it funny. Make it deep. Make it queer. It is a safe space, and your stories are safe with us.


 

07:30 – 08:00 – Vedi Aahvaan from Aahvaan Project

Conversations through stories & music – A performance by Vedi Aahvaan

 

08:00– 09:15 – Shilpa and Adi from Urban Folk Project

Collation & curation of folk knowledge systems – A performance by Shilpa & Adi from Urban Folk Project.

 

09:15 – 10:00 – Dinner

Enjoy a delicious buffet dinner (menu TBC). Feel free to bring your food to the campfire area and unwind.

 

10:00 – 10:45 – Chutney Mary

A performance by Chutney Mary - the performance alter of interdisciplinary artist Avril Stormy Unger. She sings, dances, DJ’s, raps, hosts queer events, is unabashedly gay and a performance powerhouse.

 

10:45 – 11:15 – LED Show

A LED performance by our flow artists Javed & Naomi.


 

11:15 – 11:30 – Drumming Circle

Gather around the campfire for a drumming circle.

 

11:30 – Curfew – End of Day 2
